Our tubes:
Our other gear:

Tonight, we wanted to explore with a few different variations with our tubes. This one is a super long tube which I liked a lot, but it was very hard to make smooth shapes with it.
Then I tried a few different techniques that didn’t work well, but hey, I got to try!

But there is one thing that I’ve been hoping to try outdoors for a while. This is something we did in the studio recently using two flashlights with one of the two on strobe mode. The blinking part on top of everything by using a long black extension. I still have both flashlights in my right hand when I do this. This is something that is worth spending more time exploring, and we’ll definitely come back to this in the future.

— About the Tube Stories
We are Kim Henry and Eric Paré. We are a dancer/photographer duo making our way using a tube, a feather, and a flashlight. Everything we do is lit by hand, one frame at a time. Light-painting for us is a lifestyle, and this is what we share with our audience. The purpose of the Tube Stories is to bring a brighter and more colorful night to whoever is going to cross our path. Our work has been presented on the BBC, CNN, MTV, VICE, TEDx and much more.
